Connection Research Practices and Portfolios
Practices
Our Community Sustainability practice focuses on consumer, community, and small business attitudes and behaviour towards energy consumption and energy efficiency. Most research is based on surveys of consumer behaviour, with special attention given to the effects of consumer behaviour on the whole energy supply chain.
Our IT Sustainability practice focuses on IT's role in improving energy efficiency and lowering the carbon footprint of both the IT function and the whole organisation. IT is taking a lead role in reducing its own energy consumption and providing carbon abatement systems, reporting and compliance across the whole organisation.
Our Building Industry and Trades practice focuses on energy efficiency and sustainability in the built environment - facilities management, building management systems, materials, and construction. We have quantified many of the "hidden" aspects of sustainability in the built environment to assist with emerging building standards and requirements.
Our Smart Energy Portfolio consists of five continuous research services spread across our practice areas. The services are Intelligent Consumption, New Service Delivery Models,Intelligent Energy Distribution, Low Carbon Generation, and IT Sustainability.
